iphone-6-bumpWe all know that most of the models that you see on magazine covers have been digitally enhanced, so to speak, as the models who prefer to be seen and published just as they are. Hey, if that can be done to humans, why not apply the same standard to a consumer electronics device as well? This is what the situation seems to be with the recently unveiled iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, where the camera which is located at the back of the handset while carrying a protrusion.

It does look as though that with some clever manipulation of angles in photos, not to mention the assistance of image editing software, when one takes a look at the side of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, there does not seem to be any sign of the protruding camera at all, regardless of the model.

In fact, the images hail straight from Apple’s very own web site, so there should not be any accusations leveraged at some mischievous imp working behind the scenes to get the job done. The iPhone 6 measures 6.9mm thin, and the larger sized iPhone 6 Plus is 7.1mm in terms of thickness, which translates to the camera lens being stuck out from the handset. Do you think this is just an oversight on Apple’s part, and do they really care that the camera protrudes outward? After all, I don’t think it mattered at all, since the iPhone 6 still managed to rack up record pre-order numbers within 24 hours.
