diamond-iwatch-640x482Apple’s products are typically priced a little higher than the competition and the upcoming Apple Watch is no exception to the rule. The base price of the device is set at $350, a good deal more than most smartwatches out there today. While the other prices have yet to be revealed, rumors have suggested that the Apple Watch Edition could cost as much as $5,000, putting it square in the luxury watch range.

That being said if you thought $350 was too expensive, the folks at Mervis Diamonds have recently come up with an Apple Watch band of their own that will set you back an eye-watering $30,150. The jeweler has recently started to take pre-orders for its “Diamond iWatch” which features an 18-karat gold tennis bracelet along with 8 rows of studded diamonds for a total of 15.14 carats worth of diamonds.

According to the jeweler, they expect that the deliveries will arrive in June 2015, meaning that you’ve got a few months to try out the Apple Watch for yourself before you decide if dropping over $30,000 for a luxury watch band is a good investment. We guess the diamonds could always be repurposed and made into something else, but is it really worth the effort?

The Apple Watch’s release date still has yet to be finalized, but last we heard the rumors had suggested a possible release on the 14th of February. In the meantime, any takers?
