Popular internet radio service Pandora announced today that it is releasing an app for the Xbox One, Microsoft’s gaming console, just in time for the holiday season where mind you the Xbox One has been performing quite well. Through the app users can tune into their favorite radio stations using the gaming console, which also does its very best to double as an entertainment device.

The app is said to come with “exciting and innovative” new features. Xbox One version has a customized version of Pandora for TV’s HTML5-based user interface. It takes full advantage of all the functionality the console offers and Pandora says this app has been built to “look amazing on the biggest screen in your home.”

Two new views are presented to users one which shows stations they recently listened to and the other displays total time spent on each station. There’s a persistent mini-player included which gives quick access to control as users browse through the app.

Pandora can also be interacted with through Kinect gestures and voice commands. Users will be able to Snap Pandora to the screen so that they can stream music without having to compromise on the gaming.

Pandora for Xbox One is live now and can be downloaded on the console.
