Whatsapp-SkypeWhatsApp, the instant messaging app that has helped millions of people save plenty of money in terms of text messaging costs over the years, has been thrusted into the limelight yet again – with word of the company preparing itself to offer voice calling. Sure, this is not news especially when you take into consideration the likes of Skype and BBM have already offered voice calling for quite some time now, but here we are with an interesting snippet of a code – it seems that WhatsApp is about to offer a “Call via Skype” feature.

Among the other features that have been “confirmed” by the leaked string of code would include Call Mute, Call Hold, Call back, Call me in X minutes, Call back message, Call Via Skype, Call Notifications and Separate screen for call logs. This would go down well with the other images that we have seen in the past which supposedly showed off just what making a phone call using WhatsApp will resemble down the road when this feature is made available.

Apart from that, it also looks as though a “Driving Mode” for WhatsApp is starting to shape up – which is similar to a Do Not Disturb sign on your smartphone as you concentrate on the road ahead of you. Seems like interesting times are ahead for WhatsApp users, don’t you think so?
