titanfall-patchEA’s Titanfall was launched exclusively on the Xbox platform and Windows PCs which we’re sure was a disappointment for gamers who owned a PlayStation console, but could sequels to Titanfall be non-Xbox exclusive? We have heard rumors of that possibility, and now it seems that EA has teased the confirmation.

During the Technology, Internet & Media Conference, EA’s CFO made mention of the next Titanfall game. According to Blake Jorgensen, “Last year it was on the Xbox only; in the future, we haven’t yet announced, but we’ll probably have another Titanfall game. It will probably be a bigger footprint than just a single platform. I think that’s a huge positive for us.”

This is great news for gamers who do not own any of the Xbox consoles and who would much rather play it on a different console and not the PC. Presumably the talk about other platforms probably alludes to the PlayStation platform, although we have to wonder at this stage in the game, will there be consideration for the PlayStation 3 or will we only see a PlayStation 4 release?

Unfortunately at this point in time it is unclear as to when the Titanfall sequel will be released, but we will be keeping our eyes peeled all the same.
