naos qgSome games are leisurely where you can sit back and take your time. Some games are most fast paced and it’s only after the round ends that you find yourself with sweaty palms and an elevated heart rate. However to help gamers better understand their stress levels and when they occur, a gaming company by the name of Mionix has created the NAOS QG which is a gaming mouse capable of checking your stress levels through your sweat.

This is thanks to small metallic sensors placed on the sides of the mouse. These sensors are capable of collecting data such as heart rate and sweat to determine your stress levels. According to Carl Silbersky the company’s CEO, “You get an insight into your reactions. You can understand how you react in certain ways, and if you’re playing in a team you can see how your teammates react.”

So what is this data? For starters players will be able to identify the moments in which they seem to be stressed and break it down further, so that the next time it happens they can better control their emotions which might hopefully lead to more collected decision-making rather than a rash one. Developers can also use it to test their games to see if it is getting the appropriate emotional response.

The NAOS QG was actually launched on Kickstarter in December last year and was successfully funded. The mouse is currently in production and is expected to begin shipping to backers in August, and September for everyone else. For more information on how to order one for yourself, you can hit up its website for the details.
