sonic-dash-sega-endless-runnerIf you’re a fan of SEGA’s mobile games and have been buying and downloading their titles from various mobile app stores and onto your mobile device, you might want to hold onto them. According to a recent blog post by the company, they have revealed that they will be removing some of their older titles from Google Play.

According to the company, “At SEGA we are committed to making fun, high-quality mobile games and it is with our fans’ best playing experience in mind that we announce the removal of a number of games from our back catalogue.” Apparently it seems that these older titles don’t meet SEGA’s standards which is why the company wants to take them down.

“It is important for us to ensure that all of our fans, regardless of platform or operating system, have a great playing experience and after evaluating our complete list of titles, we have determined that a number of them no longer meet our standards.” That being said SEGA notes that it is possible that one day these titles might return in an updated version, but don’t count on it for now.

The good news is that the game will remain downloadable under your “purchases” so should you format your phone or get a new one, you can always download it again and keep playing it, at least until it stops being compatible with your device, so if you haven’t downloaded them already, perhaps you’ll want to do that.
