Battery life for smartphones are notoriously short. In fact getting 2-3 days worth of use can be considered something of a milestone, unlike feature phones back in the day where they could last us a week no problem. That being said if you want a phone that will last you, perhaps the Janus One could be worth checking out.

Now it should be noted that the Janus One is not a smartphone. In fact there are probably feature phones that come with more functions than it, but the point is that the Janus One has a battery life that promises a standby time of 90 days – that’s a good three months! – and the fact that it is slim like a credit card.

This means that you could technically fit it inside your purse or wallet and use it for emergencies, like when your smartphone’s battery has died. This is a lot better than having to lug around a battery pack or buying a feature phone which would be unnecessary bulk that you’ll have to bring with you on the go.

To top it off, the Janus One’s 1,500mAh battery can also act as a spare battery for your phone if you need to charge it in a pinch, so in reality it is quite a multi-functional device. If you’d like to pledge your support to make the Janus One a reality, hit up its Kickstarter page for the details.
