playstation_messagesHave you always wanted to remain in contact with your friends on the PlayStation Network even when you’re not home? Assuming you guys aren’t friends in real life or haven’t exchanged contact information, you’re in luck as Sony has officially launched the PlayStation Messages app for iOS and Android.

As the name suggests and as you can see in the screenshot above, this is a messaging app designed for the PlayStation. It basically allows users on the PlayStation Network to keep in touch even when you’re not home. So if you’re trying to organize a gaming session, you could do that with the app even when you’re out and about.

According to Sony, this is a full-fledged messaging app. “The app will display your full friends list, sorted by online status or alphabetically. It will also show any Favorite Groups you’ve added to message several people at once. You can send text or voice messages, as well as stickers and attachments.”

The app is free of charge so if you’re a PlayStation gamer who thinks that this app might have some use, then head on over to the iTunes App Store or pop on over to the Google Play Store for the respective iOS and Android downloads.
