Fallout-Shelter-iOSWhen Fallout Shelter was first launched, Bethesda admitted that they were initially skeptical of the game’s ability to succeed, although it’s safe to say that while the hype surrounding the game has died down somewhat, it still remains incredibly popular with Bethesda continuously pushing out updates to it.

So much so that during an interview with the folks at GameSpot at DICE 2016, Bethesda’s director Todd Howard revealed that the company has plans to make more mobile games. He also reiterated what the company had said last time, which was that they would only make mobile games if they felt like it made sense, as opposed to making games for the sake of it.

According to Howard, “Mostly we were concerned with it being appropriate for who we are [as Bethesda Game Studios]–meaning it’s got a bit more meat on the bone than other things like it. But its overall popularity? We were not ready for that, which is a good problem.” However Howard did not dive into any details about what future mobile titles could be about, like whether it might be based on some of their other franchises, or if it could be something completely new.

In the meantime the developers have launched a new office in Montreal where they are expected to focus on their mobile efforts, so we guess we’ll just have to wait and see what else Bethesda could get up to, but what games belonging to Bethesda do you guys think would be good to have a mobile counterpart of?
