moto-e3Several days ago, the Moto E3 was launched in the UK without much fanfare. It is the lowest-specced phone out of the Moto lineup which we guess did not exactly warranty much celebration or its own event. However for customers in the US looking for a budget phone, you will be pleased to learn that it could find its way stateside.

While there was no announcement to confirm its US release, it has recently been spotted at the FCC. Usually devices get FCC approval if there are plans to launch stateside, or at the very least are being considered for a release in the US. However like we said, there has not been any confirmation by Motorola/Lenovo, so try not to get too excited just yet.

However if and when the handset does launch, word on the street has it that the phone will most likely see a release in September, so we’ll keep our eyes peeled. In the meantime just in case you missed the previous report, here’s a quick rundown on the specs of the Moto E3, the latest handset part of the Moto E lineup.

The phone will pack a 5-inch 720p HD display with a quad-core CPU powering the handset. It will also be accompanied by 1GB of RAM, come with an 8MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, a 2,800mAh battery, and will also feature Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Its price in the UK was roughly $131 after conversion, but no word on whether we will be similar prices when it does arrive in the US.
