Earlier this month, Samsung took the wraps off the latest version of the Oculus Rift. While the exterior (save for its coat of paint) looks more or less similar to its predecessor, Samsung and Oculus have made some changes under the hood such as giving it a wider FOV and also added a USB-C and micro USB adapter so that it will fit newer phones.If this is something that you might be interested in, you will be pleased to learn that Oculus has announced that the new Gear VR will begin shipping today. “The newest Samsung Gear VR, powered by Oculus, is available today alongside the Galaxy Note 7! With over 300 games and experiences on the Oculus Store, there’s something for everyone.”
In addition to the new headset launching, Oculus is also highlighting new VR content that has been designed for the new Gear VR in mind. This includes titles like Lost 360, Wands, and the Battle which was previously available on the Oculus Rift. “These are just a few of the new VR games and experiences coming to the Oculus Store for Gear VR, and we have a lot more coming in the months ahead.”
