apple_lightning_dockWith Apple’s brand new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, Apple has done away with the headphone jack in which they explained why. Whether or not you agree with their decision, it is done, which also means that you’ll either need to start getting used to the Lightning adapter, or start shopping for new headphones.

However the lack of a headphone jack also means that users can’t charge their phones and listen to music at the same time, a problem that one customer pointed out to Apple’s SVP of marketing Phil Schiller. Schiller then responded to the customer, recommending that they purchase the Lightning Dock.

As you can see in the image above, the Lightning Dock allows users to charge their phone and listen to music at the same time via the headphone jack. Granted it’s not exactly the most mobile solution, and admittedly it does look a bit bulky, but for those of you who can’t be bothered to buy a new pair of headphones, we’re afraid this is one of the few options available to you.

Unfortunately the Lightning Dock does not come cheap either and it is priced at $50, but if you are planning on purchasing the iPhone 7 or 7 Plus, we guess this is what you’ll have to start getting used to, at least until more Lightning/wireless headphone options are released in the future.
