[CES 2018] When it comes to listening to music, there are many ways to go about it. You could always play them through a set of speakers, or if you’re after a more immersive and private experience, you could also play them through a set of headphones, all the while leaning back in a nice, comfortable chair.

However if you’re looking to take your music-listening to the next level, French startup AURASENS might have the answer. At CES 2018 (which kicks off this week), the company will be showing off a hi-tech pod that is said to offer users an immersive music-listening experience. As you can see from the photo, this “pod” comes in the form of a reclining chair that can pulse, tap, and tingle at various points throughout the chair.

The idea is that by creating rhythmic vibrations, it is supposed to help the user feel more “one” with the music that they are listening to. The chair will also come with an integrated iPad that will contain a playlist of sensory experiences created by the company, with plans to release new music on a monthly basis.

There is no word on how much the AURASENS pod will cost, but the first batch of units are expected to be made available starting from February 2018.
