Recent reports have suggested that Apple has a couple of new tablets in the pipeline which it’s going to launch in the not too distant future. These new iPads are expected to feature the Face ID technology that the company introduced with the iPhone X last year. An analyst claims that the new iPad Pro models might soon enter mass production but they’ll only be released to customers in the next quarter.

Recent regulatory filings from Apple revealed that the company is preparing two new iPad models for launch in the not too distant future. Apple itself hasn’t said anything about new tablets as yet but that’s to be expected because the company doesn’t really start talking about its new products earlier than it needs to.

Rosenblatt Securities’ Jun Zhang predicts that Apple is going to ship up to 8 million units of its new iPads in the coming quarter. Apple is expected to launch updated models of its 10.5 inch and 12.9 inch iPad Pros. Perhaps the biggest addition would be that of the TrueDepth camera on the front which will bring features such as Face ID and Animoji to the iPad.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the new tablets are expected to feature Apple’s A11X processors but rumors about edge-to-edge OLED displays like the one touted by the iPhone X are expected to be just that: rumors.
