Wiitality Armband To Help Your Enjoy Wiifit
Posted on November 22, 2009 9:24 AM

Holding the Wiimote while fiddling with Wii Fit might not be the most convenient thing, and that’s why you might want to check out Talismoon’s Wiitality accessory, which is basically a neoprene band that can hold your Wiimote in place, securing the controller on your arm via sturdy Velcro straps. You can pick up the Wiitality at Amazon for $3, which is certainly cheaper than having the Wiimote slip from your hand and smash your television.

This means the Wii Bundle is going for $239.98 on Amazon, making it one of the cheapest in the market.
Sanyo Launches New Contactless Wii Charger
Posted on November 12, 2009 4:02 AM

At a glance, you might think that this is the Eneloop Wii that we brought to your attention last year. While it boasts the same similar contactless charging concept, however, when you look closer, you’ll notice that it has been upgraded to support the Wii Motion plus. Aside from that, you’ll also be able to dock 2 Wiimotes at once, though you’re still limited to charging the Wiimote sequentially, just like the previous model.
Thrustmaster T-Freestyle NW for the Wii
Posted on November 5, 2009 10:48 AM

Thrustmaster's latest accessory for the Wii would be the T-Freestyle NW that was specially designed to play nice with all skate and snowboard games on the weakest console of the current generation. It would be pretty hardy being crafted from genuine maple, sporting a "skull" design right on the top. Just to make sure you don't topple over like Humpty Dumpty, a safety stoppers was included. Expect to pick up the Thrustmaster T-Freestyle NW for $29.99.

New Zelda Game Will Utilize MotionPlus?
Posted on November 4, 2009 4:07 AM

When the Wii was released, everybody envisioned amazing sword battles with their friends, but things didn’t get really cool until they released the MotionPlus add on for the Wiimote. Now it seems that the upcoming Zelda game will utilize the MotionPlus add on, giving users the potential for 1-to1 motion control, meaning we could probably have some really amazing sword fights. Apparently the MotionPlus will also be used to improve the targeting in the game, unlike in the previous game where you aimed at things by pointing at the screen.
Wii Baby And Me
Posted on November 2, 2009 3:25 AM

We’ve seen Wiimotes turned into tennis rackets, bowling balls, and who knows what else, but a baby? The special edition of Baby and Me comes with an actual doll, allowing you to strap the Wiimote to the little doll and interact with the baby’s on-screen counterpart. This will probably appeal to the kids and little girls, but somehow we feel that it’d be a lot more fun if Nintendo came up with more sports and action games for the Wii, don’t you think?
Microwaved Nintendo Wii On Sale
Posted on October 30, 2009 10:54 PM

We've put many different items in the microwave before, but we certainly haven't done what Kenny Irwin has done. In a world where many people queue up for long periods in order to get their hands on a Nintendo Wii, it certainly seems wasteful to microwave the whole Nintendo Wii, but that's just what happened here, and there is even a video detailing the whole gory process. To top things off, this item is going for nearly $6,000 on eBay. Of course, if you think that it's too expensive, you could always just stick whatever console you own into your own microwave. Note: We're joking on that! Fire hazard!
Nintendo Wii 2 Details Leaked?
Posted on October 30, 2009 9:57 PM

With the success of Nintendo's Wii, it really shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone to hear that a “Wii 2” is in the works. There isn't anything official just yet, but word on the street is that it should be released in Q3 of 2010, and will be rolled out worldwide simultaneously, not to mention there will be trade-in programs to sweeten the deal. While there aren't any concrete specs just yet, it seems that there will be a built-in Blu-ray drive (probably to counter piracy) and also support for 1080p games and movies. Hopefully Nintendo will also do something to improve on the already cool motion sensing capabilities of its Wiimote.
Nintendo Wii sales figures plummet
Posted on October 30, 2009 5:17 PM

Looks like the Wii might have finally run out of steam after rolling over its much more powerful competitors over the past couple of years. Apparently, Wii sales have “stalled” experiencing a massive 43% drop in global sales during the first six months of Nintendo's current financial year. Are consumers wising up to the type of games available, or is it a case of new hardware revisions from Sony and Microsoft with aggressive pricing that contributed to the situation?
Netflix streaming coming to Wii as well?
Posted on October 29, 2009 4:41 PM

While Microsoft and Sony's consoles have already been enjoying Netflix streaming in recent times, the poor Nintendo Wii feels all left out. That could change in the near future though, with images showing off Netflix streaming on a Wii console being leaked. It might take place this year, but then again Nintendo might delay it to let it coincide with the next generation Wii HD console which might come out early next year. What do you think?

Posted on October 20, 2009 9:09 AM

Folks living in Europe might tend to get stuff later than the rest of the world, but this time round our friends in Europe will be laughing all the way across the Atlantic as Nintendo UK will be offering a limited edition black Wii bundle that is heading their way this November 6th, where it will also come along with Wii Sports Resort alongside a Wii MotionPlus dongle to get you started right out of the box. Everything else inside will match the console's black color, including the Classic Controller Pro and a bunch of other accessories.

Nyko has added a few more colors to their Wii wands, where you can choose from a quartet of colors including blue and pink Wiimotes just like how Nintendo has rolled out those colors officially in Japan. Expect Nyko's offerings to come with a $29.99 price point - anyone going to pick tis one up?
Amazon Lowers Wii Price In UK
Posted on October 10, 2009 8:25 AM

Folks in the UK who have been holding off getting one of Nintendo’s very popular Wii consoles will now have an extra incentive to pick one up, as Amazon UK is now offering the Nintendo Wii on Amazon for £140, a whole £40 less than the normal price. Nintendo had originally promised a price reduction at the end of September, but that appeared in a range of bundles going for £180 with Wii Resort of Mario Kart. We’ve certainly got no complains for price reductions. So are you going to pick up a Nintendo Wii, if you don’t already have one?
Wii Bowling Ball
Posted on October 4, 2009 7:41 PM

Love bowling in Wii Sports? Why not take things to a more realistic level with the Wii Bowling Ball? This new accessory will make your gaming sessions all the more realistic, where it can even hold a Wiimote with MotionPlus within, where buttons on the bowling ball's surface will be used to operate the bowling game. Would you fork out $24.99 for this accessory? If so, we would strongly recommend that you have its safety strap on securely at all times, otherwise you might end up not only breaking your high score but your TV screen as well.
Nintendo fixes version 4.2 update for free
Posted on October 2, 2009 8:36 AM

Those who have updated their Wii to firmware 4.2 and find that they have run into problems can relax, knowing that Nintendo is ready and willing to fix it for free. This is good news, but only for those who have clean Wiis and not others who modified theirs. The moral of the story would be to wait for a few days to pass before installing any update lest something like this happens. Good thing Nintendo is an ethical enough company to fix the issues early to keep their customer base happy.
Darth Vader Nintendo Wii Sensor Bar Holder
Posted on September 29, 2009 8:27 AM

The Darth Vader Nintendo Wii Sensor Bar Holder is one cool way to merge popular culture with the world of video games, where your Wii Sensor Bar is actually being "held" within the field of Darth Vader's red lightsaber. It'll be a pretty intense gaming session with this in place in your living room, especially when you have the Dark Lord of the Sith's eyes staring straight back at you - making sure you know when is it to call it quits and attend to other more pressing matters in the real world. It would be nice to see this $49.99 design extend to other Star Wars universe characters as well.
Nintendo could roll out Wii successor
Posted on September 21, 2009 8:48 AM

A day after we confirmed that the Nintendo Wii will be getting a price cut, here's news from Square Enix head honcho Yoichi Wada about the Wii's future, where he believes that Nintendo will be rolling out the Wii's successor sometime in the year 2011 which will include features already available on the PS3 and Xbox 360, alongside the possibility of a new controller. Do you think consumers will bite if a new high definition enabled Wii is released?
Nintendo confirms Wii price cut
Posted on September 20, 2009 8:42 PM

Nintendo has finally confirmed that the Wii will be experiencing a price cut from next Sunday onwards, where September 27th will see the Wii going for $199, which means we ought to see a dip in Wii sales for this week since most people who really want one won't mind waiting another seven days to save a cool $50 which could be better used to purchase another game. Do you think this price cut will result in a hardware sales boost after that, or will it eat into the PS3 Slim and Xbox 360 sales after their two price cuts recently?
