Samsung aims to meet the evolving consumer demand for new ways when it comes to accessing content, and their LED HDTV offering hopes to define the perfect HD experience for discerning consumers. Samsung wants to make life simpler and more enjoyable via a Seamless Experience as they have stressed in the beginning. Q&A time now…

64GB of storage space offers up to 12 hours of full HD recording – but will the battery last that long? Chances are it won’t, LOL. Next is the HZ10W digital camera that offers 24mm wide angle lens to bring a new level of consumer creativity, with 720p movie recording to capture the perfect moment no matter where you are.

As for the Palm Theater P3, this 0.39″ thin portable media player features a personalized UI and haptic feedback technology. No idea on when this will come out though, but it doesn’t look as though it will trounce the iPod touch.

BP-P4600 is their flagship Blu-ray player, also touted to be the slimmest in the world (1.5″) that is capable of injecting a disc within the second. It offers wireless networking capability (Wi-Fi ready), content on demand service and has 1GB of internal memory for BD Live.

Just in case you aren’t feeling flush, Samsung has cheaper and more affordable TVs. The PDP 850 from Samsung measures a mere 1″ thick and offers full HD resolution, a new TOC design and all the other similar features found in the earlier LED TV models.

The Samsung LED 8000 series offers a 240Hz refresh rate – four times that of conventional LCD TVs. They name it Automotion+ technology (we’ve seen two technologies earlier this morning that end up with roughly the same result, with the number 240 being the common denominator).

Samsung has an innovative ultra slim solution that reduces the gap between the wall from 2″ to 0.6″, making it hang like a picture instead!

The LED TV looks really great even from 8 meters out or so at an angle. Guess LCDs are going to have their butt handed to them by LED :)

It consumes 40% less power than conventional LCD TVs, and as touted earlier, is mercury- and lead-free. Samsung’s Luxia LED 7000 delivers Samsung’s suite of Medi@2.0 services that includes content library Flash, wireless DLNA , Internet@TV and USB 2.0 connectivity which we mentioned earlier.

Samsung’s LED TV recreates light and color in all its magnificence and glory, featuring mega contrast ratio, mercury-free manufacturing process and CO2 reduction with the environment in mind. The Luxia LED 6000 is Energy Star 3.0 compatible, boasts a quartet of HDMI ports and measures no more than 1″ thin, despite featuring a built-in tuner.

Consumers these days want the perfect entertainment experience, and Samsung aims to cater to these wants. The previously mentioned Samsung Luxia LED TV looks set to be their flagship TV for the year, coming in 6000, 7000 and 8000 series.

Ah, as with other Press Conferences this morning, Samsung too has a heart for our environment. Samsung hopes to meet consumers’ expectations when it comes to keeping the world green. For example, Samsung’s PDP and LCD TV uses eco-friendly components while reducing power consumption by up to 40%. Samsung’s washing machines also use less power and water despite being able to keep your clothes clean with each wash. Samsung has also set up a Recycling Direct program in the US for consumers to dispatch of their electronics in the most eco-friendly way.

The intuitive emotional UI can also be found on their portable media players, digital cameras and selected Samsung handsets for a fully customizable experience.

Samsung will also offer a Unified UI that makes it easier for everyone to use various Samsung products without having to figure out the controls. Imagine cell phones, digital cameras and even TVs sharing the same UI.

Samsung Luxia LED TV is here to reinforce their market leadership. Guess this won’t come cheap, there will also be a full lineup of 40″ to 55″ LED TVs coming this year.

Touch Of Color (TOC) TVs from Samsung have managed to capture the hearts and minds of consumers all over the world, and today we have the newest TOC TVs unveiled. Hopefully they won’t be too expensive, but the design does look pretty cool, featuring an eco-friendly look with a graceful neck in a super slim package.

Samsung aims to offer full HD wireless connectivity without picture quality degradation, as they are one of the founding members of the Wireless HD consortium to provide a standard that the whole world can use. Samsung has also developed mobile WiMax for seamless, high speed Internet on-the-go, but that has yet to arrive in many countries.

Samsung will continue to embrace the open platform policy with their customers’ best interests at heart. Samsung is currently working on implementing the best wireless connectivity based on DLNA in their products, allowing users to share photos and videos sans wires amongst TVs, PCs and cell phones. This seamless connectivity can be found at the Samsung booth.

The UI looks pretty seamless, and it does look as though the Apple iPhone’s UI has played a pretty significant role in the development of UI for various devices and computers in recent times, but you will need to navigate using your TV remote control though as there isn’t any touchscreen TV for you to work with.

With such vast options, users will be able to choose what they want to view, when they want, thanks to the Yahoo! Widget engine. This 5th generation product is built on Konfabulator, the Yahoo! desktop widget engine. It is open and connected from the start, featuring a newly designed UI framework that is specially optimized for the TV.

Cinematic Internet is Yahoo’s vision for the emerging world of connected TV. They want to bring openess to everyone in a package that is highly interactive via a remote control, hoping to make TV into a bigger, better and more exciting experience ov
erall. Yahoo! will also be working with the biggest and best names (including eBay, etc) in the business to bring the best online entertainment experience at all times.

Yahoo! seems to have their hands in many honey pots, and this time round we have them collaborating with Samsung as well. Patrick Barry, VP of Connected TV, Yahoo! Inc. is now on stage. Yahoo! aims to bring the next generation of connected TV to the masses via Samsung TVs.

First off, the TV. Samsung has created Medi@2.0 that includes Flash content, Internet content service, USB 2.0 connectivity and DLNA wireless connectivity.

Marketing time now – why is Samsung better than others? Samsung claims to have the best infrastructure to offer a Seamless Experience, featuring affiliates for vertical integration with thousands of Samsung engineers working hard to strengthen their leadership in hardware technology. Samsung has also maintained thei #1 in worldwide TV market share for 3 consecutive years, garnering a vast number of CES Innovation Awards over the years as well.

We’re up and running now at the Samsung Press Conference and the crowd can’t stop swelling. The stage is lighted up in Samsung’s corporate color – blue, and judging by the video they’re playing, most (if not all) tech companies are taking on a green initiative as that’s the next big thing – conserving resources and using them efficiently so that our next generation will have a decent place to live in.
