Dell Latitude 2100 Ready For Order

The Dell Latitude 2100 was just announced yesterday, and in true American efficiency, the student-centric netbook is already available for order. The base unit that will be powered by Ubuntu 8.10 Linux is going for $368, while those who prefer to rock to the tune of Windows XP will have to fork out an additional $30. As for Windows Vista fans, prices start from a much more expensive $483 due to licensing issues. You will have a wide range of configuration options as with most Dells, choosing up to 2GB RAM, a 16GB SSD and even a hard drive that touches the 250GB mark. If you aren’t happy with the included 802.11b/g Wi-Fi card, there is always the option to upgrade to an 802.11a/g/n card and/or optional Bluetooth for added functionality.
