OCZ Z-Drive SSD unveiled
OCZ’s latest PCI-Express Solid State Drive (SSD), the Z-Drive, was specially designed to perform for enterprise computing clients without missing a beat. It is bootable and removes the SATA bottleneck thanks to use of high-speed PCI-Express architecture alongside a compact enterprise-grade RAID array. The Z-Drive will come with eight PCI-E lanes and an internal four-way RAID 0 configuration, making it delivers exceptional performance in a single form factor. You can opt for multi-level cell (MLC) and single-level cell (SLC) models, where they will be known as p84 and e84, respectively. No idea on pricing, but we’re guessing cheap is not an adjective to be used as the Z-Drive comes in 256GB and 512GB capacities.
