Lenovo jumps aboard the Android bandwagon with its latest device – the Lenovo Lephone. As you can see, this handset takes on a clamshell form factor with its snap-on keyboard accessory, albeit in an elongated manner where you get a really stunning 3.7″ 800 x 480 resolution touchscreen display which ought to make surfing the Internet a joy, although you might want to zoom in more often than not when it comes to reading lengthy texts with it. As for speed, fret not – the Lephone is a speed demon with a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor running underneath the hood, alongside two cameras in the standard setup – one in front and a 3-megapixel one behind. Other features that are expected from a smartphone includes A-GPS support, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Would you purchase the keyboard accessory? We’d recommend it if you’re a text heavy user who wants to have a cool phone at the same time, otherwise get a BlackBerry if texting’s your main gig. Out in China later this year, we have no word on its pricing details or whether it will hit other markets or not.
