Liquavista pursues full color e-ink displays

Liquavista is not a name that many of us are familiar with, but the company is coming up with full color, e-ink screens which are supposedly easy on the eyes, with its prototype being more than ready to be demonstrated if you’re interested. This is the result of a collaboration with Texas Instruments, and they hope to release an e-reader sometime down the road. Could this be the perfect e-reader display which toes the line between the Kindle and the iPad? Only time will tell. Texas Instruments will be doing their part by providing support for its OMAP platform so that e-readers running on Liquavista displays will be a snap to roll out, with word that developer kits are on their way out as well. Excited yet?
