MSI Wind Top AE2280 All-in-One desktop PC arrives in the US

If you’re short on space at home (or at the office) and want something functional and yet not look too ancient on your desk, then the MSI Wind Top AE2280 All-in-One desktop PC ought to be your cup of tea. After all, the AE2280 will be the first desktop PC that integrates Hollywood-standard THX TruStudio Pro audio capabilities, boasting THX TruStudio audio that delivers a rich theater-like experience with advanced surround sound capabilities, coupled with rich, subwoofer-powered bass frequencies for that added oomph whenever you take a break from your hectic schedule and catch up on your growing DVD rental collection. You also won’t find it lacking in terms of processing power as you can choose from an Intel Core i3 or i5 processor, with intelligent Turbo Boost technology that will increase or decrease operating speeds in tandem with your real-time use.

It will rely on MSI’s latest multi-touch software known as Wind Touch Generation III for a more intuitive experience, alongside the Wind Mail email software and a trio of MSI software packages which were specially optimized to be used in an advanced multi-touch role. We’re talking about the MSI YouCam that adds creative visual effects for photos and videos taken with the built-in web cam, the MSI YouPaint which offers interactive, touch-enabled painting software, and the MSI YouMemo that lets you create personal notes and memos on the fly. The range of specifications in detail are available in the extended post, but pricing starts from $949.99 upwards for the Wind Top AE2280 All-in-One PC, depending on the configuration of your choice. This seems to achieve a careful balance between work and play, but it might be priced out of reach for those who want a basic desktop for work and email purposes. Pity this didn’t come with a Blu-ray drive to take advantage of its audio capabilities though. [Press Release]
