Tread-Walk personal mobility vehicle trumps Segway

Those who have trouble getting around on their own two legs might find the Segway as well as other motorized scooters to be heaven-sent, but the Tread-Walk personal mobility vehicle brings things to a different level since it will not only help you get around in style and comfort, it also lets you exercise your body whenever you travel. Thanks to the good people at the Fujie Lab at Japan’s Waseda University, this mobile treadmill will enable natural movement while amplifying the speed of the person walking anywhere from 1.5 to 3 times. It is currently in the prototype phase, so hopefully the final product will be road-worthy, coming in a relatively compact design which is also functional at the same time.
