Window of China unveils N9 MID

Hmmm, first of all, this doesn’t sound right. A Chinese company known as “Window” has released and Android 2.1-powered Mobile Internet Device (MID) – how ironic is that? Dubbed the N9 (perhaps to fool people into thinking that this is some sort of Nokia device), this MID will come with a 7-inch WVGA display, a Rockchip RK2818 processor + DSP clocked at 600MHz, Android 2.1 Eclair with plans for Android 2.2 Froyo in the works, 256MB RAM, and Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity to get you started right out of the box. Retailing for around $195 after conversion, the N9 will hit China first, so if we were to get this Stateside, we will have to keep a keen eye out for its appearance on the FCC.
