Amtek iTablet visits the FCC

Before the iPad was released, one of the many names being thrown around was the iTablet. Now Amtek Systems, a Taiwanese manufacturer, has sent its 10.1-inch Android-powered tablet to the FCC, bearing the name “iTablet”. This tablet is powered by an 800MHz processor and features 512MB of RAM, 1GB of NAND storage, 2-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, optional 3G and a 6,400mAh battery. While the name itself is pretty cute, it’s likely that this tablet will be rebranded before it arrives in the US. It’s also worth noting that the battery capacity seems huge, something that will be welcome to road warriors.
