Hack an old ammo box into a rugged speaker system

If you’re thinking of coming up with some unique speakers, you might want to try and turn an old ammo box into a speaker, which is what has been done here. The project involved turning a .50 caliber ammo box into a functioning speaker for under $50, allowing it to be carried along with an MP3 player, notebook or any other portable device. Considering what the boxes originally were, you’ll end up with a speaker that is housed within a very sturdy and tough box, though you’ll need to make a lot of effort to cut and drill into it.
