Panasonic Lumix ZS8 and ZS10 announced

Aside from the rugged TS3, Panasonic has also announced two new additions to its ZS family, namely the DMC-ZS10 and the DMC-ZS8. Both cameras are pretty similar, though the ZS8 only has 720p video recording capabilities, as opposed to 1080p recording on the ZS10. Other features on the ZS10 include a 14.1-megapixel image sensor, 24mm ultra wide-angle lens with 16x zoom, not to mention a 3-inch touchscreen LCD display. One more feature that sets the ZS10 apart is that it supports Panasonic’s 3D Photo mode, which allows the camera to capture 20 consecutive photos and overlay the two best images to come up with a 3D image that can be viewed on a supported 3D display. Pricing for these cameras weren’t mentioned, but they will be available in March 2011, which isn’t that far off.
