Google intends to strengthen Android Market defenses

Google’s Android Market was caught unawares recently with malware proliferating their Android Market, but it is good to know that the Internet search giant has already taken steps to remedy that situation. Now, they certainly aren’t going to just sit back and watch hackers continue to cause havoc over there in their mobile ecosystem, but has decided to boost their defenses in the process. Android users who have actually downloaded a malicious application ought to receive an e-mail within three days from the address android-market-support@google.com which will explain the situation, at least that is what Rich Cannings, Android’s Security Lead, mentioned. Google also intends to force an update on users known as “Android Market Security Tool March 2011” that will deal with the DroidDream exploits once and for all. Good on them, and all the best!
