Quanta Computers’ tablet shows up on FCC

Quanta Computers isn’t exactly the first name that you think of when it comes to tablet devices, but then again that is because they are an OEM (original equipment manufacturer) from Taiwan, so chances are you would have seen their stuff rebranded under other monikers. Well, the Quanta QV3A tablet takes a different route this time around, having arrived at the FCC this week. Test results of the QV3A do point towards Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, although the FCC has remained silent on 3G or 4G mobile broadband support. Other hardware specifications that we can glean from the image include a front-facing webcam, a microSD memory card slot, a micro USB port and a headphone jack. Of course, the presence of Home, Menu, and additional buttons point toward the Google Android 2.x or earlier operating system. No idea on pricing or availability as at press time though.
