Acer Aspire Z5761 all-in-one has beefed up specs

Desktops these days are fragmented into three different camps – the traditional tower chassis set up that is good enough for your word processing needs as well as spreadsheet calculations, the souped up gaming rig which has more lights than a disco, and an all-in-one form factor which intends to offer elegance first, performance as an afterthought (in the majority of cases). The Acer Aspire Z5761 all-in-one is different even though it falls under the last group, since it has an eye-friendly 23″ Full HD display, with your pockets determining whether you can choose from a Sandy Bridge Core i5-2400, a Core i5-2500 or a Core i7-2600 CPU. Not only that, other hardware configurations include having up to a 1.5TB SATA II hard drive, opting between a Blu-ray or SuperMulti drive, choosing from NVIDIA GeForce GT440, GT435M, or GT420 graphics chipsets and having a hybrid TV-tuner card residing inside for the PC to function as your TV if you so desire. It will retail from £799 upwards as it hits the markets early next month – any takers? Not exactly the cheapest model in the market, but it seems decent enough in any modern home. [Press Release]
