Dell Inspiron 13z and 14z gets slimmed down

Dell has been known in the past for creating computers that were not only affordable, but also of relatively good quality, not to mention their superb customer service and delivery times. As of late all those qualities seem to have taken a dive, which might explain why Dell has just updated their Inspiron 13z and 14z, both of which are now sporting slimmer designs along with aluminum lids.

The aluminum will not only be for the lids, but will also be for the palm rests, which we’re thinking may solve the problem of ugly palm marks due to wear and tear that are highly common in laptops sporting a plastic casing.

The laptops have also been slimmed down to just under an inch thick, with the 14z being thick enough to support an optical drive. Both will also come with the choice of either Core i3 or Core i5 processors and sport 720p HD resolution screens as well.

Both models start at $599.99 and will be available in Diamond Black or Fire Red, with the 14z being made available as of today.
