Intel offers software upgrades for its latest low-end processors

Intel Processor upgrade

Do you remember last year in September when Intel gave consumers the option to upgrade some if its processors’ software with the use of a specially purchased unlock code? It didn’t go down so well with the consumers – after all, who liked the idea of purchasing a “crippled” processor? Well, it looks like Intel didn’t learn, or didn’t care – because they’ve done it again this year, this time with their latest low-end Core and Pentium processors.

No word on pricing for these unlock keys, but if they follow last year’s prices, it should be around $50 for a key. The upgrade will work on Core i3-2313M, Core i3-2102 and Pentium G622 processors. The upgrade will give better performance for photo, video, music activities, as well as offering a more responsive experience for the overall system.
