Android Ice Cream Sandwich for tablets demonstrated on video

We all know that Android 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich was designed to bring the tablet and smartphone versions of Android together under one roof. But at the launch of the operating system yesterday, it was only demonstrated on a smartphone, and not a single mention of it running on a tablet. Well the folks over at endgadget downloaded the Ice Cream Sandwich SDK and ran the emulator to test out the operating system on tablet dimensions.

And according to them, it looks like the experience will be identical to what it will be like on the Nexus Galaxy smartphone. I guess Google made good on its promise to put an end to the fragmentation issue that Honeycomb introduced to Android. The emulator performed pretty choppily in the video demonstration shot, but it should give you a good enough idea of what it’s going to be like. Check it out for yourself:
