Ice Cream Sandwich unboxed at Google HQ, @Android now open

We would normally use the term “unbox” for a particular piece of hardware, but why is it being applied to software right now, especially a mobile operating system from Google? Well, the answer can be summed up simply – this is a literal representation of Ice Cream Sandwich, Google’s nickname for their Android 4.0 operating system that will be able to play nice with both tablets and smartphones, bridging the gap between Android 2.3 Gingerbread that catered to just smartphones, while Android 3.x Honeycomb was optimized for tablets.

It certainly took far less people to set up the Ice Cream Sandwich in the midst of all the other statues of previous Android versions physically compared to getting the coding done, this I am quite sure about it. Check out the video of the unboxing after the jump. You can also keep up with the latest on Ice Cream Sandwich via Twitter.
