Android 4.1 spotted on Verizon Galaxy Nexus

Yes, we do know that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus over at Verizon Wireless has already been seen doing pretty impressively on the Speedtest earlier this morning, going to prove that Verizon’s 4G LTE network is truly one of the fastest ones in the market, hitting 8Mbps even when indoors with a couple of bars in terms of signal strength. Well, here is more information – it seems that that particular Galaxy Nexus handset too, will run on Android 4.1 – which would automatically make it the latest version of the Ice Cream Sandwich operating system from Google to date.

The image above was posted by a user known as “Bradgog” on a thread on My Droid World, which heralds the impending arrival of Android 4.1. The firmware update does seem to bring with it a new baseband radio, which might just result in the slight delay prior to the device’s arrival at Verizon Wireless.
