D-Link iOS and Android tablet app lets you view networking cameras

D-Link, a reliable name in the realm of networking for the longest time, has just released apps for both iOS- and Android-powered tablets – that is, the iPad, iPad 2 and myriad of Android tablets in the market, which will allow consumers to remotely monitor their home or small office no matter where they are, as long as they have a decent data connection (3G or Wi-Fi). The new mydlink+ app for iPad and Android tablets will enable one to monitor up to four network cameras simultaneously in a jiffy, as you access multiple live video streams with mydlink-enabled network cameras including the Day/Night Network Camera with mydlink (DCS-932L) and Wireless N Network Camera with mydlink (DCS-930L).

I know that going away on a vacation is supposed to free your mind from stress, but with the number of break-ins these days, surely some home owners cannot be faulted for fretting about whether their abode is safe from robbers or not. Guess with D-Link’s latest app, at least their headaches can be relieved to a certain extent, enabling you to monitor whether there has been a break-in at your place or not even though you might be a few thousand miles away from home. The mydlink+ app can be downloade from the App Store and Android Market for $0.99 a pop, at least until the end of the year before the price is increased to $4.99. [Press Release]
