Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra M3-581TG up for sale early

Acer-Aspire-Timeline-Ultra-M3If you’re looking for an ultrabook that can handle your gaming needs, Acer might just have what you need. Called the Aspire Timeline Ultra M3-581TG, it features an Intel Sandy Bridge processor and discrete graphics from NVIDIA’s GeForce GT 640M. The GPU is based on NVIDIA’s upcoming Kepler architecture and is touted to be able to run Battlefield 3 on ultra settings at 1366 x 768 resolution.

If powerful performance isn’t enough, the super thin ultrabook is said to pack a battery that provides about 8 hours of regular usage – and it has an optical drive for those of you who still rely on discs. It packs a 15.6″ display, up to 6GB of RAM and a choice between a 500GB hybrid hard disk drive or a 256GB SSD. The ultrabook was first shown off at CeBIT 2012, and was slated for a March release.

According to reports online, Acer has decided to put the computer up for sale early though we haven’t been able to find a price or listing for the device yet; but since it is an ultrabook, it shouldn’t be too expensive. Stay tuned and we’ll keep you posted with more details.
