Project Sea Lion will let you travel on land and on water

So you’re stuck in the jam, what do you do? Don’t you wish that your car could traverse water or maybe even fly, thus giving you alternative routes? While we’re still waiting on that to happen, M. Witt has come up with a vehicle has has dubbed Project Sea Lion, which has been designed from the ground up to compete for the title of the world’s fastest amphibious car. Constructed from TIG-wielded aluminum and CNC milled parts, its creator has claimed that on land (if enough road was given), the vehicle should have no problems of reaching a top speed of 180mph.

Its speed on the water is a different story, and while its uses a 174 horsepower Mazda 13B rotary engine, its creator has stated that it should be upgraded to a custom built 300-600 horsepower Renesis Rx 8 engine if Project Sea Lion hopes to nab the sea-speed record as well. The good news for those of you with a lot of money to spend is that Project Sea Lion is currently up for sale on Fantasy Junction for a whopping $259,500. If that’s a little too much for your wallet to bear, you can always check out the video above to see Project Sea Lion in action.
