Nexus 4 could run into launch problems in South Korea due to carriers request for customization

We’re sure that there are many eager customers out there who can’t wait to get their hands on Google’s Nexus 4, although oddly enough it has been reported that in South Korea, the Nexus 4’s launch could be faced with some issues. Apparently South Korean carriers are requesting some features to be included in the Nexus 4 which Google was reportedly against. Given that this is Google’s flagship handset, and the fact that this is a Nexus device, we’re not surprised over the amount of control that Google is trying to exert over it to ensure a similar user experience across the board.

It was suggested that LTE is one of the features that South Korean carriers have requested, a feature lacking in the Nexus 4 which was explained by Andy Rubin. If this is indeed the case, it has also been suggested that the Nexus 4 could face some difficulty in launching in Japan as Japanese carriers are reportedly known for requesting carrier-specific customization. Either way with the handset planned for a release in November, we guess there’s still some time for Google and LG to sort this out, so until then we guess we shouldn’t get too worried.
