A senior Nokia executive Jo Harlow has said that future Lumia smartphones might come with dual-SIM support as well as radically improved camera technology. The camera tech in question here is actually made by Pelican Imaging, they place 16 lenses in a 4 x 4 grid, each lense with its own sensor. Once a picture is taken the lenses arrange everything together and the result is remarkable. It also allows the users to focus selective areas of the picture after it has been taken. Pelican says that at least one smartphone will tout this technology next year. Perhaps we might see this technology being implemented in the rumored EOS Lumia smartphone? It is obviously too soon to be sure of it.

Jo Harlow also says that having dual-SIM compatible Lumia smartphones in its portfolio is on Nokia’s radar. The Finnish manufacturer already has a big portfolio of cellphones that are capable of running two SIMs at once. Such devices are very popular in emerging markets such as India so obviously there’s ample demand, lets see when Nokia finally decides to meet it with adequate supply.
