Google Discontinues The White Nexus 4

Yesterday we reported that the 8GB White Nexus 4 smartphone was no longer available on Google Play store. We followed up with another report earlier today, this time about the 16GB White Nexus 4 running out of stock. No one was sure at that time about the company’s plans regarding this device, it wasn’t clear if they were going to restock this device. Back when the white Nexus 4 was being heavily rumored, it was said that the device would launch in limited numbers. That has turned out to be true. Google has confirmed today that this limited edition smartphone will not come back in stock again, this goes for both 8GB and 16GB flavors.

Google has confirmed to AndroidPolice that the “Limited Edition White Nexus 8GB and 16GB” have been sold out. This translates in to the fact that both of these models will no longer be available from US Google Play store. Don’t worry though if you’ve decided to pick up a Nexus 4 after all. There’s plenty of stock available of both models in black, it can be purchased directly from the company.
