According to Bushnell, “I don’t think handheld game-only devices make sense anymore, not when you have an iPod or an Android microtablet. When it comes to the console market, I think the market is truncating.” Mobile devices these days are definitely getting more powerful with every version, not to mention games like Infinity Blade, Real Racing, and Dead Trigger being prime examples of games with great graphics running smoothly on mobile phone, and with that being said, apart from having different titles, do we really need handheld consoles like the Nintendo 3DS?
Of course this boils down to personal preference and the availability of titles are important to gamers as well, but what do you guys think? Will the day eventually come when handheld consoles like the 3DS and PS Vita no longer be relevant?
