Google News For Android And iOS Gets A Makeover

gnews-updateAny kind of app that is worth its salt would need to be refreshed and updated from time to time, as it attempts to woo its faithful users continuously. We have become such an app-centric society, that our smartphones and tablets alone come with a fair number of apps. Google has just announced that they will be revamping the Google News app for both iOS and Android platforms, making it easier for users of the apps to read and track stories which one is interested in. The refreshed Google News will boast of a card-like design which might remind you of other mobile apps from Google, and you will be able to change the font size accordingly, to check out a light or dark theme, or to enable a larger “story card” style so that you can take in more information at but a glance.

Google has also made it more convenient to head on to a particular section through tapping the “Google News” icon in the upper left corner, not to mention enjoying better integration via Google Feedback courtesy of the menu that is located in the upper right corner. It would be interesting to see how Google persists with their unified look in this Google News revamp for mobile devices. [Press Release]
