LG G2 Mini Now Official

We first started hearing rumors about the LG G2 mini back in December, and since then there has been much chatter about the device. Only recently LG teased it on its Facebook page, hinting at an imminent unveiling. It was believed that LG G2 mini will presumably be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2014, but it appears that the company has decided to do so a bit early. The LG G2 mini is now official, it brings toned-down specifications in a shell that resembles its sibling, the powerful LG G2.

The LG G2 mini has a 4.7 inch 540×960 IPS touchscreen display, a 1.2GHz quadcore processor with 1GB RAM, 8GB onboard storage with support for microSD cards, 8 megapixel rear and 1.3 megapixel front camera, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and a 2,440mAh battery. This smartphone comes with Android 4.4 KitKat preinstalled. It will certainly be an enticing option for customers not looking to spend a lot of money on a smartphone but still desire a respectable user experience. Sure it may not be the powerhouse that LG G2 is, but the G2 mini stacks up well against competitors in its class, such as the Galaxy S4 mini. Dual-SIM models will also be available in select markets, LG G2 will be released in March, Russia and surrounding countries get it first, which will be trailed by Latin America, Asia, Middle East and Europe. Expect the device to be showcased at MWC 2014 nonetheless.
