Gigabyte BRIX Mini PC To Feature NVIDIA Graphics

gigabyte-brixGigabyte continues to expand their range of mini PCs that come under the BRIX badge, where its latest model will feature an Intel Core i5 Haswell CPU alongside an NVIDiA GeForce graphics chipset. It will certainly be better than its predecessor, that’s for sure, and reportedly features a 2.8 GHz Intel Core i5-4200H processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 graphics if one wants to get into the nitty gritty.

Such a processor would offer the system with a whole lot more processing punch compared to what a tiny desktop PC is able to, although there is a price to pay for everything. The CPU itself has a 47W TDP and the NVIDIA graphics card will consume up to to 170W, which means that things can get hot really, really fast. This would explain the presence of the large vents on the PC case, and it would be no surprise at all should the entire system heat up whenever you start to play games on the PC.

While the fans’ job is to keep things running nice and cool, spinning at such a high rate would translate to it raising a fair amount of noise. Other hardware specifications of this Gigabyte BRIX addition include 802.11ac WiFi, Gigabit Ethernet, and Bluetooth connectivity; dual HDMI output, a quartet of USB 3.0 ports, a mini DisplayPort connector, and support for an mSATA SSD. For those who feel that they need more punch, there is an alternative model that has the Intel Core i7 CPU running at its heart.
