Project Cars is a title that has been developed by UK-based Slightly Mad Studios which raised money for this endeavor through its own crowdfunding platform. Over $5 million was raised for the development of Project Cars as the team, which consists of gaming veterans that have worked on GTR and GT Legends, set out to create the “most authentic” driving experience. If you have been waiting for Project Cars release you will be disappointed to learn that the release has been delayed.

This title was initially supposed to be released around the same time when some big triple-AAA titles like The Crew and Driveclub were to be released. It was confirmed back in June that Project Cars had been picked up for full distribution by Bandai Namco.

Slightly Mad Studios has now announced the new Project Cars release date. The title will be out on March 17th, 2015 in North America and March 20th, 2015 in Europe. This release date applies to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The original release date set by Bandai Namco was November 18th.

Development of Project Cars on Wii U and SteamOS is also underway. So far a revised release date has not been announced for those platforms but the developer’s website says that Project Cars will be released for these platforms at a later date next year.
