This news item coming out of China will interest you if you ever wondered what is the best possible way to smuggle nearly a hundred iPhones over a border. Authorities at the Chinese border arrested a man trying to smuggle 94 iPhones into the country. The man, who happens to be a citizen of Hong Kong, had strapped rings of iPhones to various parts of his body with nothing more than some plastic bags and lots of masking tape.

The iPhones were strapped to the man’s torso, calves, thighs and even the crotch. Authorities felt something was not quite right when they saw his “weird walking posture, joint stiffness and muscle tension.” The report points out that this is a common practice for smugglers, its called “mobile armor,” used for bringing stolen iPhones into the country so that they can be fenced.

Photos show that the man had both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus units strapped to his body. Apple’s existing flagships have been available for purchase in China for a few months now so its not like anyone looking to pick up a legitimate unit has to head to the grey market.

The man has been taken into police custody and all of the iPhones are now in the possession of customs officials.
