Anne Sutardji and Brian Rockermann who hail from Fremont, California, has made use of smartphone applications and standard WiFi in order to come up with a brand new breed of garage door opener which will sport its fair share of features. Since it has that magical feel about it, why not call it Sesame?
Sesame will offer remote control and monitoring of not one – but two garage doors using an iPhone or an Android device, with the help of a web browser, of course. The keypad will be installed outside the garage door, where anyone without a smartphone will have access to it, at the same time functioning as a backup home access should the smartphone run out of juice or has no signal.
The Sesame system can be programmed to carry up to 100 codes, allowing each user to have a unique access code, and for added peace of mind, a message will be sent to your handset each time the door is opened, as you are informed of who has accessed it. [Press Release]
