ZTE Spro 2 Projector Runs Android With LTE And Play Store Access

If you have been wondering whether any cool projectors packed with features have been unveiled at the International Consumer Electronics Show, look no further. The ZTE Spro 2 has been announced by this Chinese company, which claims to be the fourth largest smartphone manufacturer in the U.S., it calls the Spro 2 the “next generation smart projector.” This touchscreen touting projector runs Android and providers users with full access to the Google Play Store.

ZTE Spro 2 is capable of streaming media content through Google Play applications, has support for USB and microSD card, and can hook up to other devices through the HDMI port or Wi-Fi.

The company says that this is the first smart projector that has auto focus and auto keystone. WIth a native resolution of 1,280×720 is has an “excellent short throw ratio,” being able to project HD images up to 120-inches with a 200 lumens brightness. Spro 2 can also function as a 4G LTE mobile hotspot that provides connection for up to eight devices.

There’s a 6,300mAh battery that powers the entire package which comes in at 5.1 x 5.2 x 1.5 inches, making it very portable and easy to carry in a backpack or even a briefcase.

ZTE hasn’t said how much the Spro 2 is going to cost, only that the LTE model will be available from major carriers in the U.S. within a couple of months. A Wi-Fi only model will also be released down the line.
