ASUS Zenfone 2 Impresses In Antutu Benchmark

zenfone2-benchmarksThe upcoming ASUS Zenfone 2 has made an appearance in the Antutu database, where it has certainly outstripped many expectations along the way. After all, achieving a 50,401 score in the benchmark is no child’s play, and it is also enough for the soon-to-be-released ASUS Zenfone 2 to rank ahead of the Snapdragon 805-powered Samsung Galaxy Note 4, not to mention the Meizu MX4 that sports a Mediatek MT6595 chipset within.

The ASUS Zenfone 2 that was tested does sport a beefy Intel Atom Z3580 chipset that has a quad-core processor which has been clocked at up to 2.33GHz. The GPU does not fall under Intel’s jurisdiction, but rather, it is the PowerVR G6430 that hails from Imagination. 2GB of RAM on board helped the Zenfone 2 be all that it is.

The device in question comes with a 5” display at 720p resolution, which means the chipset did not need to sweat too much since it has to push out under a million pixels. Other handsets in comparison do come with a higher resolution panel, which means the innards would have to work a whole lot harder. Still, it is a rather admirable effort by ASUS to come up with a handset like this – it ought to be decent enough to last for some time before the upgrade itch strikes.
